Billing office duties include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing and coding patient visits Calling insurance companies to resolve billing and processing problems of claims Appealing denied claims Maintaining up to date knowledge of medical terminology, coding claims and modifier usage Prior authorization submittal, review and sign off as necessary Preparation of bank deposits and balancing of daily cash activity Updating patient insurance information and understanding of patient benefits Accurate and timely posting payments Interacting with patients in a compassionate and upbeat manner at all times Billing Office Requirements and Preferences:
Prior medical office billing experience is preferred but not required, willing to train the right candidate High school diploma or equivalent; required, AA or BS degree; preferred Two (2) years' previous customer service experience in a related supportive position preferred Able to prioritize, and manage time efficiently Self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to work autonomously Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Bilingual/Spanish preferred If you have the above qualifications and would enjoy working with fun, supportive colleagues, please send us your resume with a cover letter.
