225 B St for rent in Ashland, OR
THE SPACE- Located in the heart of downtown Ashland. Steps from the Co-op, post office, coffee shops, and more restaurants than one could appreciate in a short period of time. The Martriarch is located in the historic John and Charlotte Pelton House built in 1894. By its size and distinction as an example of Eastlake architecture, the house is regarded as a pivotal building in the Railroad Historic District of Ashland, and is on the National Registry of Historic Places. So why call it The Matriarch? We chose to honor Charlotte who lived in the house until she passed in 1926, as well as the other women who have cared for this beautiful home over the decades. We love this home's steeply pitched gabled roofs, bay window seating, fenced yard, and sunny porch for afternoon drinks and waving at passers-by. This home is a vacation rental during the tourist season, but if you need a place to land for a few months while you are here in town this is an ideal spot. Longer term arrangements can be made, but the monthly price would change. Feel free to inquire if you would like to stay for longer. There is an apartment that is the owners suite and occasionally rented out as a vacation rental. The apartment has a separate entrance but shares a small common wall with house. There is also a carriage house used for vacation rental on property.
